Sarek is feeling and hearing baby Spock kicking around in Amanda’s belly. Inspired by this post !!

Sarek is momentarily on the verge of (logical) panic when he feels movement in Amanda’s protruding stomach as he thinks their child might be in severe danger until Amanda talks him down by explaining that Humans are restless and fidgety even prior to their birth. And Sarek is just so fascinated and relieved that he just sits there listening for hours.

Imagine Amanda teaching sarek to waltz and she guides his hand down to the small of her back and he has this sudden urge to protect and defend this human woman who is at once weaker and stronger than him

Imagine Sarek coming home from work and finding Amanda crying and he runs over to her side and says “Amanda, what troubles you?” And he’s ready to kick ass and take names and then Amanda looks up and sarek can see she’s smiling and she whispers “I’m pregnant” and she starts crying even harder, but is reduced to giggles when sarek scoops her up bridal style and carries her to bed

soooo… i intended to fully flesh out this bgkd but then i got distracted with this prereform headcanon that bondmates might wear their mate’s ceremonial pon farr sashes almost like a badge of honor, like the equivalent of a wedding ring or something symbolic that they’re ‘taken’. maybe they would even wear multiples to display how long they’d been mated. anyway, i was then compelled to then draw these>

i almost NEVER draw anything even remotely smutty but this was insistent. in my head this sequence is accompanied by amanda giggling a lot.

so i quite like the idea that everyone sort of expects Amanda Grayson to adopt this very somber Vulcan attitude and customs, and that she, quite intentionally, shows up to her first public event post-marriage in some blindingly flashy outfit.
