No, you are not hallucinating, this really is my next giveaway. I have a lot of awesome official promotional merchandise that was made for distribution to Chinese audiences. To celebrate the DVD/Blu-ray release of Kingsman: The Golden Circle and because I love you guys (seriously, this is the BEST FANDOM anyone could be in), I am giving it ALL away in one huge single lot prize. The prize includes:
Bathrobe with embroidered ‘K’ symbol
T-shirt printed as Eggsy’s orange tuxedo
Lanyard with metal ‘K’ symbol keychain
Kingsman glasses (not screen accurate but still official gear)
One Kingsman and one Statesman canvas shopping bag
To enter this giveaway, you must:
Be following me
Reblog this post
Be willing to provide a name and address for me to send the prize to, should you win
And that’s it! You can reblog as many times as you want but please do not spam your followers. Spamming (more than 1 reblog within a single 24hr period) will disqualify you from the giveaway. I will select the winner at random. Don’t worry about shipping costs, I will cover that no matter where in the world you want me to send it to. Closing date for entries is 12th January 2018 (GMT +8). I will notify the winner via instant messaging, so please ensure that you have this feature switched on around the closing date. If there is no response after 48hrs, I will randomly select an alternative winner.
tumblr’s code may change but no notes ghost stays the same
Oh thank god
imagine the shit storm when tumblr finally becomes so dysfunctional that this post’s total notes is finally revealed
In case anyone’s curious about what happened to this post, it has to do with how we tally up notes. Likes and reblogs always add to the note count of the root post (the OP). However, the note count relies on the previous value of the root post before adding more notes to it.
Normally when you delete a post, it’s gone, but not gone gone. Just deleted from public never to be seen again. The database entry is still there, just inaccessible.
This post, however, the root post is just gone. Gone gone. Gone forever. Everything attached to it is still there, but since the root post is hard deleted (something that requires manual manipulation of the database), when the note counter tries to add notes to it, it gets nil to start with.
So it throws every new note into the void. Goodbye forever, notes.
I’m not sure if we’ll ever know the real number of notes on this post.
