Dick and Clark: A Photo Album

thoughtsaboutdickgrayson:

To remember the beauty that was Dick and Uncle Clark (and said beauty will live forever in our old comics), here are some photos.

***

Back in the Golden Age, the two first “met” on the cover of World’s Best Comics (soon changed to World’s Finest).

The first team-up came in 1952 in the pages of Superman #76, but it was mostly a Batman-Superman story. The tale was redone in World’s Finest #71 (1954), and Robin had a more prominent role. Still, there’s no fanboying because the three are on a serious mission: protecting Clark’s secret identity by trying to convince Lois that Bruce Wayne is Superman. Follow that link: the story becomes insane because Lois is a smart lady and doesn’t fall for Bruce’s weird plans.

Later comics elaborated on Robin and Superman’s first meeting.

After that, the two had plenty of fun adventures together.

Before Kory, Dick would let Clark carry him to battle.

Sometimes they went behind Bruce’s back:

At other times, Dick had to make peace between Superman and Batman.

And Clark was proud of the man Dick had become. Clark knew that he could count on Dick for help with the detective work:
