Alter Ego Clothing & its sister brands

kathtea:

I am sure many of you have seen the antics of Cheche Nwagbo, owner of Alter Ego Clothing from my often reblogged post about corset brands to avoid.

Lil in the Middle and Titus 2 MWA (or Titus 2 Modest Women’s Apparel) are suspected to be associated with Alter Ego Clothing.

The fact that I am seeing more and more screenshots, having to update the post constantly, feels like it warrants its own post.

Remember, it’s not libel, if it’s true.

Not only are they attempting to sell COPIED mass produced items as “handmade” or “custom”, the owner of the brand is extremely unprofessional.

When called out for using one of my photos without credit nor permission.

Showing great professionalism.

Additionally, sister brand Lil in the Middle have resorted to stealing photos of tightlacing-society members to sell their knock-offs! This one shows a member in a whatkatiedidlingerie Vamp.

Anon shares this little convo with us, fat-shaming!
“I was in the Waist Training 101 group for all of 24 hours. One thread invited business owners to share their links, so I out [corsetry business redacted] on there. It was deleted. So I tried again. It was deleted again, I was banned from the group and the following happened.”

On March 25th 2015, she encouraged someone to commit suicide. (posted with permission of recipient)

People duped into “custom” corsets that don’t fit (see the 6″+ gaps).

Apparently the way they scam people into purchasing their “affordable” “custom” corsets is by scaring them into thinking all custom corsets cost $400, which is far from the truth.
