Germany absolutely does not “stand back and mock them.” They take direct legal and sometimes violent action to keep neo nazis at bay. But I agree- we should follow their example.
I have it on pretty good authority that if you ever do the Nazi salute in Germany, you will 1) get punched in the face then 2) be arrested by the police who will have conveniently suffered temporary blindness at the moment someone was punching you in the face.
