I would be gravely concerned if a partner of mine were to need constant repairs to their sword or otherwise constant repacements, but if need be, I would. Although, frankly, sometimes swords are overrated. Sometimes.

Marry a blacksmith and give them rare ores and materials to use for crafting.

Now that is a surefire way to win any smith’s attention and gradual affection.

Indeed, that would be an added benefit. The real treasure is helping the smith in anyway that one can help.
