What exact role do you think James would have in the Anderson Toys since you don’t think he’d be CEO? And why?

fivelosersandaqueen:

Tbh I don’t think he’d get involved with the company at all, and here’s why:

Running a business takes years of study in economics and the like. That’s part of why Mika was told to go to college before taking over; she needed to learn how to run the company. So what the heck makes James any more qualified to run it? If anything he’s less qualified, being from another plane of existence and raised in a culture whose technology and capital is still stuck in the medieval era. He’s a leader and looks good in a suit, but he’d still have to learn how businesses work in the human world.

James strikes me as the type who would want to settle into a humble profession. Seeing as he knows so many languages, I liked to entertain him getting a job as a language teacher. Not only is he in a position of authority and guidance, which fits his aesthetic, but he’s also in a position that has him interacting with the modern world. He has a chance to learn more about human culture and understand it in practice.
